Lately I've been feeling a bit of culture shock. Imagine sitting down to lunch with your family while watching the afternoon news. An inside look on a film about prostitution comes on, and all of a sudden you're looking at lengthy shots of frontal nudity. Yep, that's Europe for you.After traveling to Morocco, Italy and the Czech Republic this month, heading back into Spain on Saturday was an interesting change. We got into the airport starving in Barcelona, and I picked up a ham and cheese sandwich, which I would never do in the states. There's just something about the ham in Europe. I had an incredibly satisfying ham and cheese sandwich in Milan. But back to Barcelona.
The airport offers a free shuttle to the train station, and the metro is cheap, quick and easy. By the time we got out into the city center, it was dark again. In the three days I was away, I only saw the sun twice. Once was on the plane from Prague back to Spain, and the other time was the short bus ride to the train station in Barcelona. But the lack of sun in Prague fit the city so well. From the statues lining Charles Bridge to the medieval torture devices underground in Prague Castle, everything is dark, sinister and gloomy.

Dad was talking on the phone to a client about Josh's trip(s) and I realized I hadn't checked the blog in two days. Jay - I think frontal nudity at the home dinner table would make you sicker than when you barfed on the broccoli, years ago.....Anyway Josh - loved the shots of Barcelona at night and the captions. Parks in Europe are sometimes as important as many of the other sights and sometimes the parks are empty of tourists.
Well...you'll be home two weeks from this Friday.

So instead of Seinfeld at dinner it XXX movies when you and Josh come home. I guess Dad'll come home for dinner those nights and may not realize he's eating chicken two night in a row.
Pictures are fabulous. Enjoying every one of your blogs Josh. I have been at Sues since Tues. and wasn't able to pick it up there so was happy to see your post and now I won't be home until Sunday night. Hope you got to see the picture of the new puppy who has no name yet. She is just adorable and the kids are very excited.
