Pigeon love

Marathon Day 3, Location 3: Italy

Lesson learned: Animals like to be fed. Though monkeys are much cooler than pigeons, these crazy creatures go insane on me in this video. I'm sure I'll hear about this one for the rest of my life (I can already hear you laughing). But I enjoyed the experience, and my two friends snickering in the background did as well. The video is from Venice. The city is almost like a wonder of the world, because there are practically no streets, just canals and the main river to get around. There's no place like it on Earth. Photos are here.

So Venice is my second favorite city in the world. I wonder what city tomorrow will bring ...

Well Josh, tomorrow you will be 21, what a cool place to celebrate your 21st birthday! Sorry we haven't been on in awhile, I am sure Bubby told you that we just got home from Nevis, beautiful island, we even felt an earthquake! Tomorrow we get our new puppy, it looks like her name is going to be Sunshine, after a really cool restaurant in Nevis. All the kids wish you a happy birthday, before you know it we will be celebrating with you, I am sure coming home will be bittersweet for you! Happy Birthday!
Love,
Aunt Sue

It's bad enough you were in upstate N Y for the last two birthdays but Spain and Germany are pretty far from home. Enjoy the last few days of Europe....take some mental pictures of your semester abroad.

Happy 21 Josh.

Hi Josh,
Congrats on your 21st bday. I must say i am really envious of you and the travelling you are doing. I remember like it was yesterday when i went to a lot of these places. Now i just go to Nevis and islands instead. I look forward to you coming home and we can celebrate together over a couple of drinks. When in munich, go to a world famous bierhaus called the hafbrahaus. It is very famous. I was there in 1988 and one of my friends got shitfaced and thrown out. (i got shitfaced too and went home with a really hot german blonde but don't tell aunt sue!) We got a new dog today although i still miss obie. Should add excitement to our house, like we need it.
Have a blast.

Love,
Uncle Mark
